Michael Armbruster, M.D.
I founded Metro Atlanta Psychiatry to provide Georgians with high quality physician-delivered psychiatric care. In a typical week I treat patients from all walks of life, from inmates to executives. I have treated patients in emergency rooms, psychiatric inpatient units, and a variety of correctional settings, including jail and ICE detention.
As a forensically-trained psychiatrist, I have performed forensic evaluations and consultations in civil and criminal cases. My areas of forensic expertise include adjudicative competency, hospital- & jail-based competency restoration, criminal responsibility (insanity defense), independent medical evaluations, mitigation, and medicolegal issues in correctional psychiatry.
Outside of work I pursue interests in aviation, technology, weather, the outdoors, and bees.

Gideon Matzkin, M.D.
My treatment approach incorporates both psychotherapy (talk therapy) and the latest innovations in psychopharmacology. Originally from Atlanta, I earned my medical degree at the Technion Israel Institute of Technology Faculty of Medicine. As a resident physician at the Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, I treat psychiatric conditions in a wide range of settings: the emergency room, the hospital, and the outpatient clinic. I am also a psychoanalytic fellow at the Psychoanalytic Center of Philadelphia. Recently, I was recognized by the Association of Family Psychiatrists for excellence in family-oriented care.
